android annoyancesHave you noticed there’s a few things lacking in the native Android OS which really should be there? Or are you plagued by those little Android annoyances that just shouldn’t be this much of a pain to fix? You’re not alone!

Luckily there’s not too many of these little annoyances and most of them have a free application to help us out with a quick fix. Here’s a selection of things that bug many people about Andoid, but which have a simple, easy fix you can use today.

1. Need Phone Silence At Night

There are a great many apps to make your phone silent at night. Some allow certain people’s calls to get through. Others just block out all calls, SMS and notifications. Silent Sleep is a basic, free answer to this problem. I personally think an application like this is the first thing any Android phone needs.

2. Stop Accidental Phone Calls

All it takes is one little application called Call Confirm to prevent your phone ringing people quite so easily. This is handy if you’ve got favourite people on your homepage or if you keep your phone in a bag often. All it does is pop up a “Do you really want to call? Call/Cancel” box whenever you try to make a call. Simple, yet very effective.

3. Need To Free Up Space Regularly – Clean Cache & Data

ACCleaner is an application cache and data cleaner which allows you to remove unwanted caches and data in one click or piece by piece. This can free up lots of space in an instant by using the “Clear all cached files” button.

4. Need To Organise Applications – App 2 SD

Froyo supports the moving of applications to your SD card, however it doesn’t do a great job of helping you to plan which applications to move. Using the Android interface, you could easily miss a large application on your phone simply because you didn’t realise it could be moved to the SD card. If you use a dedicated App2SD application, you’ll see clearly which apps can be moved and which apps you’ve already moved.

5. Clean Up Your Contacts

When you start using Android your contacts are imported from Gmail and they could be a complete mess. Simon explains in this article how easy it is to organise and merge contacts in Gmail so that your Android contacts are exactly what you need.

6. Need To Monitor Your Space

DiskUsage is a free application which allows you to visualise how the space on your phone is being used. It will certainly let you find those oversized files you forgot about!

7. Get Root Access (Hopefully) Without Voiding Your Warranty

Ryan may have hit upon the answer to get root access without voiding your warranty. The application SuperOneClick enables you to give root access to certain applications without having to unlock the bootloader. According to Nexus One, that won’t void your warranty. Obviously, you might want to check the case with your phone dealer before you attempt this.

  3月24日晚间,由作家代表、出版界代表组成的“出版界反百度侵权同盟”与百度就文库“盗版”问题的谈判宣布破裂,百度在谈判中坚称自己只是平台,并否认一切侵权行为,拒绝作家代表提出的所有要求,双方未达成任何结果。

  随后,万榕书业总经理路金波在其博客中发表《3.24谈判破裂六代表告百度书》,内容涉及百度文库“侵权”事实、逻辑、法律与解决之道,韩寒也在博客上发表文章《为了食油,声讨百度》,对百度所谓的免费和共享进行了抨击,王小峰在博客上发布的文章《李彦宏:我爸是李刚》则令人捧腹。

  之后,百度的公关也以网友的名义发布了很多篇公关稿,大体意思就是,百度文库是网民自由贡献,网民和读者是支持百度文库,等等。

  百度文库的侵权事实是存在的,法律也应该坚决维护作家和出版人权益,打出“网民支持”这张牌也无法改变整个事情的是非。百度和作家们谈判这件事,网友支持谁是个无关紧要的事情,人的天性就是趋利避害,百度能够让其得到实惠,网友就支持它,即使这事情本身是违法的也不管。

  如果国家有关部门严格执行法律,删除百度文库的所有侵权文档,百度文库对于网友上传的文档进行更严格的版权审核,实施起来不会有什么困难,早先视频网站删除美剧的事情就证明版权审核不是一件难事。

  我们知道,早先很多用户都有在各大视频网站(土豆、优酷、迅雷等)看美剧的习惯,即使这些美剧是侵权的,很多人以为,自己可以一辈子免费看美剧,就算其中一个网站停了美剧,其他网站也有,大网站没有,小网站也有。但最终的结果是,一旦大网站将美剧撤下,所有网站的美剧都一夜间消失了,网民们发现没有一个网站提供美剧的播放,小网站也没有,原因很简单,大网站都不敢放的东西,小网站敢放?

  电子书的运营特点

  电子书的版权和在线视频有一定的类似,也有很多不同,视频网站本身的流量成本很高,用户看几个小时的美剧所带来的广告收入根本无法拟补流量上的支出,因此视频网站巴不得赶快放弃这块业务。

  相对于在线视频来说,电子书的运营成本极低(主要指带宽流量),因此获得的利润相对较高,虽然电子书也会侵权,但百度作为一家商业公司,肯定会权衡其中的风险和收益,在没有一个强有力的行政措施执行之前,较难让网站停止这项业务。

  作家们提出的解决方法是,要求百度文库人工审核网友上传的文学作品(实际上百度文库一直都在审核网友上传,但目前只是审核“有害信息”和“违法信息”等),如果该作品疑似版权作品,则要求网友需提供明确证据,证明自己拥有该作品的版权才能发布作品。

  而现在百度做的正好相反,完全不限制网友上传版权作品,而一旦著作权人找上门来,百度要人为增加著作权人的举证责任,要求著作权人给出各种各样的证据来证明自己拥有版权,然后才进行删除,这种钻法律漏洞,颠倒黑白的做法当然会引起作家们的反感和厌恶。要想彻底防范百度钻法律这个漏洞,有关部门需要明确相关版权范畴,对这种侵权行为进行严厉处罚,相信这对国内互联网的发展是有好处的。

  挑战还是机遇

  未来如果百度文库、豆丁等网站删除了所有侵权的图书,对这些网站应该也不会有太大影响,现在土豆、优酷这些网站没了美剧也是一样有吸引力。小网站运营电子书也不会成什么气候,只要政策禁止的内容小网站通常都没有能力去运营。而删除盗版侵权书籍后,百度的形象还会有所改善,对于版权方面的风险也会降低,这对百度是个机会而不是一个挑战。对于百度文库等网站的最大影响可能是人力成本的上升,要审核人员识别“有害信息”尚且出现差错,版权文档就更不用说了,百度只有依靠技术能力,通过技术手段自动对于版权文档进行处理,这种功能的技术实现应该也不是一件很难的事情。

  虽然打击侵权电子书很难,但如果能够成功,对于互联网的版权领域会有不少正面积极的影响,或许,未来中国的亚马逊就会从此而诞生。

  补充:如何对付百度文库的侵权

  对于中国作家如何对付百度文库的侵权,宋石男想出一个办法,对付百度的招数是,去百度上市所在地美国起诉他,花100多美金买一股百度,然后就在美国起诉百度,只要证明百度的收入和侵权行为息息相关,然后他面临的诉讼可能导致收入减少,一百个甚至一千个你这么干,百度的股价想不垮都难。一旦股价下跌,美国的投资者会兴致勃勃地和各位一起起诉,而美国是允许集体诉讼的,这势必会造成百度股价进一步悲惨波动。

Once your brand is on Facebook, the question becomes: How you engage those fans and sustain a meaningful online dialogue with your customers. Facebook fans will only want to engage with us if we serve up relevant content and truly participate. We also forget about EdgeRank — Facebook’s News Feed algorithm that helps display “relevant” stories. The News Feed only displays a small subset of stories generated by the friends and brands users engage with the most. The more popular your story, the more likely it is to show up in people’s News Feed. News Feed optimization becomes as important as your content strategy.

Let’s explore ways we can create updates that are optimized for the News Feed and engagement. Below are some dos and don’ts to remember each time you tackle that all-important question, “What should we post to our Facebook Page today?”


1. Don’t Automate Your Status Updates


Don’t automatically feed your blog posts or your Twitter updates into your Page. Often, automated content doesn’t make it into users’ News Feeds. Your fans can also distinguish between “auto” posts and customized ones. For a lot of brand pages, auto posts do not engender engagement.

Don’t share the exact same content across all networks (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) in exactly the same format. We all understand the value of saving time, but respect your customers enough to manually post customized copy. You will get far better engagement and show your fans you care. Some folks who use Facebook don’t really like Twitter and get irritated when they see hashtags or other Twitter-specific content in their Facebook stream.


2. Don’t Be Afraid to Show You’re Human


Thank your fans for their replies and for sharing their opinions with you. From time to time, talk about things other than your products. Wish them happy holidays. Ask them fun questions or to share their personal stories.

If you make a mistake — admit it. Everyone knows you are human, and no one expects you to be perfect. You will actually score points for admitting that instead of trying to hide it.

Don’t be afraid of negative comments or people posting on sensitive topics. You’ll find that most of the time your fans will jump in and defend you or address these comments for you. And that carries much more weight than you trying to chime in. And at the end of the day, this is your opportunity to turn haters into loyalists by providing timely responses and great customer service.


3. Do Post More Photos and Videos


Media like videos and photos always perform well on Facebook. Not only do they seem to be a favorite of the News Feed algorithm, but they just grab people’s attention in a feed full of text updates. A lot of web users choose to watch more than they read.

Facebook also offers you a nice little feature that helps bring more fans to your Page. If you post a video and a non-fan of your Page sees it, a little non-intrusive call to action will pop up in the top-left corner that invites them to Like your Page.


4. Do Put Your Fans in Charge Every Now and Then

Not afraid to crowdsource? Your Facebook Page is a perfect place for it. Not only will your fans feel valued and heard, but some of their decisions might help your content strategy in the long run. Let’s face it — sometimes we don’t always make choices that resonate with our customers.

My favorite example of this was Budweiser. They let their fans choose the commercial that would run during the 2010 Super Bowl.


5. Do Target Your Status Updates

If you are a global brand, make good use of targeting. We sometimes forget that not all of our fans want to know about campaigns or contests we are running in a specific region or country. Target your updates by country or language as necessary. In the U.S. you can even target by state and city.


6. Do Ask Questions and Involve Your Fans


Want your fans to express their views on a topic? Ask them. Want your fans to share their favorite content with you? Ask them. Want your fans to share your content? Ask them. You get the point.

If you want your fans to participate more, just ask them every now and then, you will be surprised how many of them respond. Multiple experiments by other brands and yours truly show that the posts where you include a call to action get better than average engagement.


7. Do Watch Your Post Frequency and Timing


Don’t overwhelm your fans with too many posts. I suggest posting once a day to start with and potentially moving to twice a day, especially if you have great news to share. As far as timing goes, many people catch up on their Facebook activity at the end of the day and during weekends. However, this trend varies, and might be different for your target audience. Be patient, watch the response trends on your Page, and identify the frequency and timing that works best for you.


8. Do Have a Unique Voice

It is important to know your voice. Skittles does a good job maintaining a consistent brand voice on their Facebook Page. It’s entertaining, funny and refreshing.

That is not to say that you shouldn’t experiment and step outside your comfort zone to see what else might work for you. Find a voice and tone that is representative of your brand and yourself.


9. Do Diversify Your Content


Change up your content every now and then. Often, people are not sure what to post on a regular basis. You could try adding how-tos, trivia about your company, breaking news, polls, fill-in-the-blanks, relevant third-party content, multimedia, or even experts to speak about your field or business.


10. Do Track the Performance of Your Posts


Do you know your average number of comments and Likes per post? Watch for trends on your Page and feedback from your consumers on topics/programs/discussions and adjust your content strategy appropriately. Don’t become complacent.

Can you see the difference between these two shirts? One is an off-the-shelf Zegna men’s dress shirt that sells at Neiman Marcus for $395. The other is a custom-fitted shirt from men’s clothier startup J. Hilburn made from exactly the same material, but it only costs $99. And it’s made to measure.


J. Hilburn, which is based in Dallas, Texas, cuts out the retailer and its mark-up. The startup is a direct-to-consumer manufacturer, just like Dell Computer, but for fancy men’s dress shirts.


It was founded in 2007 and started selling shirts a year later. By last year, the company brought in $8 million in revenues, up from $3.25 million in 2009, says CEO Hil Davis, a former Wall Street retail analyst. He projects the company to make $20 million in revenues this year. What’s incredible is that until today, the company didn’t sell its clothes online.


Instead, it’s built a direct salesforce of 800 “style advisors” across the country, who make appointments to visit customers in their homes and offices. The advisors measure the customers to ensure a perfect fit, show them swaths of fabric, and help them select a few options. Last year, they sold 60,000 shirts, plus sweaters, trousers, and other items.


They keep a commission of between 10 percent to 30 percent of what they sell (the more they sell, the higher the commission) and, like Avon ladies, they get a small percentage of the sales from any style advisors they bring onboard.


Up until now, J. Hilburn’s website has just directed customers to the style advisors. But today it is extending its reach with a full e-commerce site, complete with shirt and trouser custom configurators for existing customers and where anyone can buy off-the-shelf items online. Once a customer is measured, now he can shop online, or use its iPhone app.


The company is backed by Battery Ventures, which has supplied almost all of the $7.25 million the company has raised since 2008.


With its mix of offline and online assets, J. Hilburn is trying to build a unique retailing experience. “There are three things that drive a business,” says Davis: “convenience, value, and customer service. Very few companies have all three.” Even Amazon only has two of those (convenience and value). Davis and his co-founder Veeral Rathod explain their approach in the video below.

距離上一次的 Firefox 大更新:Firefox 3.0 已經有差不多兩年多的時間,直到最近幾個月才陸陸續續聽到 Firefox 4 的消息。如果你受夠了 Firefox 3 的速度,那麼別擔心,Firefox 4 在速度上確實有相當大的改進,不但效能更好,也加入同步功能、更簡便的使用介面以及強化隱私與安全防護功能。看來IE9Google ChromeOpera 與 Firefox 間的瀏覽器大戰應該還很有看頭。


軟體資訊

2011 年 3 月 22 日終於推出 Firefox 4.0 版,使用者可以直接至官方網站下載對應的作業系統及使用語系,無論是全新安裝或是升級現有的 Firefox 都是相同的步驟(或者直接在瀏覽器內升級)。下兩張圖分別是 Firefox 4.0 於 Windows 7 及 Windows XP 的操作介面,整體的介面與先前的版本有相當大的差異,變得更為簡潔而美觀。

我想應該不需要太多介紹了,畢竟這已經是一套非常成熟、使用者相當多的瀏覽器(也是許多人每天必定會用到的軟體),以下僅對 Firefox 4.0 的新特色做簡單的說明,如有不周之處還請多多見諒。下圖是 Firefox 4 新功能之一,能把自己常用或是隨時使用的網站釘選在分頁列左側,如同 Windows 7 能把視窗給釘在下方的工具列,非常方便。

Firefox 4.0 將【附加元件管理員】改良了,使用者不用在侷限於小小的附加元件視窗,取而代之的是能和瀏覽器更緊密結合的管理介面,看起來也不會太唐突。

Firefox Sync】 同步功能確實有其必要性,使用者透過同步功能就可以備份書籤、密碼、偏好設定、歷史紀錄以及分頁,當在其他電腦或重灌時就不用在將這些資料額外匯出匯入。

分頁群組】功能適合每天要開數十個以上分頁的重度使用者,再也不怕從分頁標籤上找不到自己想找的網站分頁,透過拖曳方式,可以將網頁組織成分頁群組,在瀏覽時更有效率。

例如將部落格分成一個群組、搜尋引擎分成另一群組,點擊群組後將可以快速開啟這些網站。

這是我在 OSDC 2011 的前言草稿。本來是打算週六才打算放出來的,不過目前對岸正在 Twitter 上演 Rails 與 PHP 之爭(詳情請看 @robbinfan@fenng 的大戰),看了手癢。 想了一下,還是把當天的這前十分鐘講稿先放出來好了…


我的主題是如何善用 Rails 特性達到 Rapid Development。這場 talk 不會有太多的 code,一些觀念上的闡釋和搭配的架構介紹會講比較多。時間是 3/26(六)的下午 2:00 在中研院

簡單自我介紹一下,我是 xdite,在 T 客邦工作。我目前的角色是 Lead Developer 與 Manager。中間是有去「出國深造」一陣子 ….不過目前回來了 XD


我寫 Rails 大約有快四年的時間,之前待過和多PIXNETHTC


講題概念 ( 澄清關於對 Rails 的一些錯誤認知)


大概講一下這次會講這個主題的原因:Ruby on Rails 一直以來是一個非常優秀的網頁框架。應該是有始以來最棒的網頁框架,開發者不僅可以從中跟上世界頂尖開發者的研究進度,滿足自己的技術癮之外,又可以穩穩的兼顧快速的商業需求。很可惜因為種種因素,讓世人對人一直對它停留在非常糟糕的印象(「市場上找不到開發者」且「只適合滿足技術狂人癮頭」的「效率糟糕」「不穩定」框架)。


Rails 對於生意與開發上的幫助,絕非只有「Rapid Development」可言。Rails 如果如同大家所說的,只是這種糟糕的玩具,相信也活不到今天,也絕不會有越來越多的開發者、商業網站投入採用。如果各位正在或曾經開發網站,深入把玩過幾個框架,應該知道 Rails 的架構和想法先進超出其他框架幾個世代之多。


Rails 的批評者最常對它的指責,總結起來大概就是這句:「市場上找不到開發者」且「只適合滿足技術狂人癮頭」的「效率糟糕」「不穩定」框架。


以前當我還是很菜的開發者時,聽到這句話會很生氣,但又不知道從何反駁起。但現在再聽到這種批評,我會心理暗笑對方是沒經營過商業網站的外行人。


事實上:世人的誤解,和真正現實的社會是這樣的:


PHP 的 Developer 好找,Rails 的 Developer 不好找


1. 挖來的「有經驗」的開發者,幾乎是不能對現有的團隊帶來戰力的。多數的情況,他只是用一門語言,埋頭重複寫了好幾年,從未自我進修與跟上現有開發技術潮流的開發者。他寫的 code 通常又會帶著自己的性格(無論是好的或壞的)。在一個團隊中,大家作事如果沒有建立起共同的 convention,越補人往往越只是災難。更或者,有些人寫 code 其實只是寫自己開心寫拿來炫耀的,從來不想考慮商業上的需求和穩定…


別懷疑,如果你希望有好的開發團隊,請自己養,別去挖別去找。要挖也要挖能幫你建立制度的人,自己也要努力幫忙貢與獻維持制度,也不需要害怕這個 Leader 跑掉,公司建立制度就是為了要保證沒有了誰還不會完蛋。(我出國深造,Team 也沒倒…)


而且,培養幾個 Rails Developer 的成本,真的比挖一大堆 PHP Developer 的成本便宜很多。


Rails 只是炫,對商業無貢獻價值


2. 現實的商業變動需求是很大的。Rails 並非只是五分鐘 CRUD 這種炫,沒辦法成事的東西。Rails 天生的良好的架構可以讓你可以不需要重造輪子,快速達成商業需求。剩下來的時間和力氣,可以用在把產品做的更好更棒。甚至把時間花在把原先的站修整成更好的架構。


當開發者不是處於事情多到做不完,每天寫的要死還是 deliver 出一個爛貨的狀態時。他將會有更多時間、精力甚至是心情,學習把事情做得更好更對。


(事實上,最近公司正在開發的產品,進度遠超過預期,提早三週寫完,RD 剩下來的時間都用在 refactor code,SEO,performance tuning,開心的 tune UI 等等…)


Rails 效能糟糕透頂,所以使用它會陷入麻煩


3. Rails 效能是很不錯的,不要被那些謠言騙了。早在 Rails 2.x 時代,效能評測遠遠就幹掉了類似性質(full stack 型)的 framework。而且在公司裡,如果你想跟老闆說你想花時間 tune 效能,它只會回你一句,為什麼不買機器解決就好?Code 乾淨度和效能永遠不是商業運營需要考量的第一重點,除非它嚴重影響了你的商業營運與拓展需求(技術部主管要自己懂得拿捏這一點分寸)。


而且現實的狀況是,通常買機器的成本會遠比雇用 RD tunning 的成本低。如果還在草創階段,當然還可以咬點牙自己擠一點效能來調度。但別忘了,做生意就是要搞大,搞大了還要賺錢,如果你搞很大還不賺錢,沒有錢買機器,那是你這門生意有問題。不是 Framework 的問題


永遠都不會是,別本末倒置了。

4. 「變動太快導致不穩定,維護成本代價太大,所以不想用。」就更暴露了講這句話的人,原本寫的 code 可能本來就很髒、沒有寫 test、沒有用版本控制。更可能的是,根本不知道世界有這些東西的存在 XD


回頭想想,如果「一個框架」都「不變動」而且「更新不大」,那才令人害怕。那表示這個專案一點價值都沒有,沒人想貢獻。follow 一個沒有價值的專案,那才可怕…

採用 Rails 從來不是什麼辦家家酒的決定。如果想讓自己的公司業務快速拓展、自己團隊的開發者能夠迅速的跟上世界領先開發者的腳步、讓自己的開發團隊在寫程式之外,還有餘裕把產品做得更好更棒,你才更該採用 Rails。


Rails 在坊間的新手教學,基本就可以讓一個初上手的開發者達到一般人眼中的 Rapid Development 了。如果是這種快速 CRUD,很多人當然會說 XXX 也可以,為何一定要選 Rails?


但這種初階特性,及其開發速度。從來不是 Rails 開發者眼中真正 Rails 的價值,也不是所謂真正的 Rapid Development。今天這個 Talk 的主體,就是深入介紹一些只有進階開發者才知道的 Rails 之美、配合實務務經驗以及商業經驗,來達到真正恐怖的 Rapid Development。


Rapid Development,其實與 Rails 沒有絕對的正相關。只是 Rails 本身及其生態圈的發展與風氣,對於幫助發展 Rapid Development 有相當強大的正向力量。


一個專案的成敗,當然不只有開發工具暴力就行,還需要搭配其他的因素,如:團隊管理技巧、專案管理技巧、風險控制、商業運營 …etc.


不過,如果好的開發工具可以大量節省在開發產品本身時消耗的時間,那麼整個團隊將會有更多精力去專注在其他方向上,整體來說會提昇不小的專案成功機率。

相較於 Google Chrome 的快速更新版本編號, Firefox 4 的發表, 反而讓人有種期待的心情, 不過每一回改版, 就是或多或少會遇上常用的擴充套件並未隨之更新, 一者是等待做整更新, 要不就是期待有沒有熱心的網友釋出修正版本, 這回 Mozilla 讓擴充套件開發人員有不少的緩衝時間, 先前安裝 Firefox 4 RC2 時, 常用的套件都已經可以正常運作, 不需要透過安裝 Nightly Tester Tools 的方式來啟用相容模式。


雖然這次更新, 已經加入了 Sync, 不過最希望的同步擴充套件功能還是沒有出現, 雖然先前嘗試過 Siphon 這套擴充套件, 在某種程度上可以達到需求, 不過問題還是很多, 對中文擴充套件的相容度也頗為糟糕, 重點是開發似乎遇到瓶頸, 釋出到現在也沒有繼續更新, 自然也沒辦法在 Firefox 4 下正常運作, 同步這個部分, Google Chrome 內建的同步擴充功能倒是非常讓人激賞, 啟用同步功能, 就可以簡單在不同電腦中安裝並直接開始使用, 完全不需要一個個手動安裝, 在火狐出現類似功能之前, 還是整理個常用擴充套件列表, 方便記憶和管理。

Complete Integration Of Google Voice And 50 Million Sprint Customers, Plus 4G Nexus S: "

This is the biggest news about Google Voice since the company behind it, previously called Grand Central, was acquired by Google in 2007. They’ve integrated with Sprint. What that means is you are one of Sprint’s 50 million U.S. customers, your Sprint phone number is now also a Google Voice number. And If you’re already a Google Voice subscriber, you can use that number on your Sprint phone without the need for any software. Details are at google.com/voice/sprint.


Here’s how it works. If you are currently a Sprint customer, you can opt in to make that Sprint phone number your Google Voice phone number. This isn’t number porting, Sprint retains control of your number. They simply tell Google when you make or receive calls, and forward that call to other phones if you’ve chosen those options. Google also takes over the voicemail for the phone, and long distance calls are completed by Google at Google’s very low international rates.


In other words, if you have a Sprint phone you can choose to make that a Google Voice phone as well. And get all the benefits of Google Voice, like having it ring to any phone you control, initiating and receiving calls from Gmail, hilarious voicemail transcriptions, etc.



And the partnership is two way as well. If you already have a Google Voice phone number, you can have your Sprint mobile phone make outbound calls using that number as well. Previously you had to use a Google Voice app, or initiate phone calls through a mobile web browser, to make that happen.


This kind of integration is far more useful to users, and far less painful to set up, than number porting, which Google launched earlier this year.


And if that’s not enough, Google is also announcing today the availability of its first 4G and CDMA version of the Nexus S Android phone, available with Sprint.


This Is Meaningful


This is a meaningful partnership. Not just for Sprint users, who can now have the benefits of Google Voice and use their phone number anywhere they want. The carriers have rarely done much that makes sense for their users. The fact that Sprint is willing to give up control of the phone number for those who want to use Google Voice shows that there is actual competition breaking out in the U.S. mobile world, and a willingness to try bold new things to differentiate products. I’ve had my issues with Sprint in the past, but this is a brilliant move by them.
